An award-winning filmmaker of independent vision with a deep understanding and love of cinematic language, she works with equal ease in both the independent film and commercial media worlds. Twice a finalist for the Sundance Institute’s Filmmakers Lab, she strives to tell stories that are truthful, engaging and resonant with today’s audience. Awarded a Fellowship by the New York Foundation for the Arts in 2008 for her short film Everything Is Ordinary, her work has been shown in over 40 festivals worldwide where it has won numerous awards for both directing and writing. In 2007 she won the prestigious Kangaroo Project’s Emerging Commercial Director Contest which was sponsored by the Association of Independent Commercial Producers, the commercial industry’s top organization.
